Psalm 25: 12-14: “Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land. The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and he makes known to them His covenant.”
Our prayers the last couple of weeks have been on Our Nation, Our Leaders, and the focus this week will be on Our Families. Today, let us lift up the men of our country, whether they are single, married, or widowed, followed by prayers later in the week for fathers, women, mothers, and children. Once again, we are pointed to God’s Word that asks, “Who is the man who fears the Lord?” Let us pray for all of the men in our nation to have a fully devoted relationship with the Lord Jesus and that they be instructed to follow God in the way He would direct them to go.
Dear heavenly Father, we praise You for sending Your Son to be our Hope in a lost world. There are many men in our country who are wondering aimlessly as lost souls without purpose, peace, or hope. We pray that there would be a great movement of the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of all men, whatever their background, religious traditions or even irreligious upbringing. We ask that they would be drawn to You and to place their trust in Your Son Jesus as their only Hope. May they be inspired by the Savior’s servant leadership that set the example for all men, whatever their roles in life. May each one walk by that example so that the fruit of their own servant leadership would inspire and equip the next generation of leaders to meet the challenges they face with all the wisdom, knowledge and spiritual resources that he can provide. Our nation depends on it! We pray that all men would be devoted to country, serving in whatever capacity they are able, to protect and defend our nation. Please, O God, raise up men of all ages to be godly leaders in every walk of life. We ask that men take a stand for Christ, be spiritual warriors, defend the weak, speak Truth, because the those coming behind them are depending on it. We ask in the mighty, powerful name of Jesus. Amen. ~ mgr©copyright2020
