Genesis 4: 10-11
“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Heavenly Father, our Creator and the One who has given us life through the work of Your hands, we praise You for creating us so that we can glorify You and to be an example to a lost world.
As we have set aside this day, Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, to recognize the value of each human life, we beg Your forgiveness for how we have sinned against You, how we have not done our part to protect the unborn and those who are suffering persecution. We mourn the loss of innocent lives not only in our country but around the world. May this day remind us of the gravity of our sin against You in not protecting Your sons and daughters.
Restore us to right relationship with You. Open our eyes, our hearts, and our minds, and increase our compassion to serve our fellow man and bring glory to You. Strengthen our convictions, and by the Holy Spirit’s power, grant us courage to always do the right thing that would honor You. In all that we do or say, may we follow hard after You and bring glory and honor to Your name. In the name of Jesus and for the sake Your children we pray. Amen
