Isaiah 60: 1-3
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”
Psalm 102:15
The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere Your glory.
Dear Heavenly Father and Lord of all, we arise on this Happy Sunday to proclaim Your glory. Help us to seek to know You more deeply so that we understand why we proclaim Your glory. Forgive us for not expressing our gratitude for all the things that You have done for us and continue to do each day. May we be encouraged by your Word which says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 5:16)
King of Glory, today we also pray that our nation would rise to proclaim your glory and majesty among the nations. We live in dangerous times, and we know not what the future holds for our country. Before we dare ask for Your blessing, we must repent of the things that You hate, the evil forces that would seek to capture the soul of our country. Help us to shine the light in dark places, to move in a new direction, and let Your love and glory fill every home, every neighborhood, every government office, and everyone in authority.
May Your glory rise, Lord, so that America and the other nations of the world, especially Israel, would know that You are the one true, living God, and it’s only in You that we believe and only in You that we place our trust. In the mighty, glorious name of Jesus, we believe and pray. Amen and amen.
