“Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years…'”
As we bid farewell to January and welcome February today, Winter is by no means over, as the day will attest in our area. A cold-weather lover, I welcome the Winter season, but when it has fulfilled its purpose, I shall then welcome a new season when it faithfully springs forth. Perhaps you are in a season of waiting, forced rest, or perhaps dependence on God like never before. We can rest assured that Winter is not eternal! God created each season to come and go for His good purposes and will assuredly usher in Spring in its due time. May you sense His presence and be blessed on this Happy Sunday!
Father, we praise and worship You for how You created the heavens, day and night, signs and seasons, days and years, to make up Your beautiful earth. May we thank You and embrace the times and seasons, knowing You use each one for Your good purposes. We praise you on this Happy Sunday. Amen.
