Day 120: Pray and Proclaim God’s Glory ~ Happy Sunday!

Psalm 102:15
“The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.”

This coming Thursday is designated as the National Day of Prayer. I trust that today’s devotional prayer, along with this week’s devotions, will serve to prepare our hearts for lifting our nation up to the Lord in these troubling times.

Dear Heavenly Father and Lord of all, help us to know You for who You are so that we know why we proclaim Your glory. Forgive us for not expressing our gratitude for all the things that You have done for us and for our nation. King of Glory, cause our nation to arise and repent of the things that You hate. We know that You hate evil and so we also hate evil. Help us to shine the light in dark places and to turn bad things that are causing us to fail as a nation into things that glorify Your name. Let us move in a new direction and let Your light shine! Let Your love and glory fill every home, public office, public facility, every State, county, town, and neighborhood — the entire nation. May Your glory rise, Lord, so that America and the other nations of the world know that You are the one true, living God, and it’s only in You that we believe and only in You that we place our trust. In the mighty, glorious name of Jesus, we believe and pray. Amen and amen.

Isaiah 60: 1-3:
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”
