Luke 24:6-7
“He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you, while He was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”
He is Risen! What joy to know that our Lord is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living! If Christ had not risen, our faith would be meaningless and we would still be in our sins. We must never live our lives as if Jesus is dead—He was raised to give us new life! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Hallelujah!
Dear Father, may each day be like Easter in our hearts, filled with joy and gratitude for the gift of new life. We thank You that, because He lives, we can live each day with faith, hope and peace, and the promise of eternity. Remind us daily, not just during the Lenten season, to spend devoted time in Your Word, to pray earnestly, and to extend charity to others. We do so out of love for You, not obligation. May our lips praise You and our hearts thank You. In the powerful name of Jesus. Amen. ~ mgr ©copyright 2020
