Day 227: Assembling Together on this Happy Sunday!

Hebrews 10:23-25
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Did you ever think that your faithful presence at church might just be the inspiration someone needs to do the same? Maybe someone is counting on seeing you to ask for prayer, or perhaps someone needs a word of encouragement from you about what God is doing in your life. It matters to the Lord, but it also matters to others. And, it matters even more as we sense “the Day drawing near.”

Thank you, Lord, for the Sabbath, that offers worship, inspiration, prayer, giving, and opportunities to encourage others. As many around the world face persecution, may we never take it for granted. Help us to be faithful followers within the walls of our church, in our homes, offices, and communities. For Jesus’ sake. Amen.
